May 15, 2006 - Politically Incorrect Games (PIG) announces that
it will be developing Disposable Heroes Paper Minis for use
with
HARP
- High Adventure Role Playing, under license from Iron Crown
Enterprises (ICE). Select, customize, and download paper miniatures
and counters to enhance your HARP gaming experience.
HARP is short for High Adventure Role Playing and it's ICE's newest, award winning, fantasy roleplaying system. HARP has everything you love about fantasy roleplaying: flexible character creation, exciting combat, critical hits, and magic. Fast and fun, HARP will have your friends up and running with new characters and everything they need to play in about an hour. HARP won a Silver ENnie in 2004 for Best Non-d20 Game.
Disposable Heroes are full color, downloadable paper miniatures that can be customized through an online interface. You can specify which figures are downloaded to a PDF file, as well as whether or not they are labeled and/or numbered. In addition, entire pages of duplicate figures can be downloaded, making the creation of armies a breeze. Plus, flat counters can also be created. When printed, the minis are sharp and detailed (black & white figures can also be downloaded for those with older non-color printers). The next generation of downloadable paper minis are here -- affordable and customizable, you can't go wrong with Disposable Heroes.

website: www.ironcrown.comMay 29, 2002 - Iron Crown Enterprises has issued a non-exclusive license to The Guild Companion (www.guildcompanion.com) to create new RPG products based on ICE's popular Rolemaster and Spacemaster RPG systems. These new products will also be fully compatible with the d20 System and be published under the Open Gaming License.
The Guild Companion will produce hybrid d20 System-Rolemaster and d20 System-Spacemaster products as electronic books available online as PDF downloads. They have plans to create adventure, campaign, and setting modules in the first year, and will later develop other types of sourcebooks. The first two products planned for release as electronic books are:
- City of Archendurn - a setting module to launch the Aernth World product line. This is a low to medium fantasy setting, suitable for realistic campaigns. In addition to detailing an entire city, this module includes a host of key NPCs (with complete Rolemaster and d20 System statistics) and a series of scenario hooks to get a great campaign underway. City of Archendurn will be followed by ready-to-run adventures and setting modules.
- The Collector - the first in a trilogy of campaign modules set in the high-powered fantasy world of Golandra. The epic storyline will be continued in the sequels The Rightful Heir and The Return of the Collector. The Guild Companion intends to further support the Golandra World product line by publishing freely available spin-off scenarios in upcoming ezine issues.
Nicholas Caldwell, editor-in-chief of The Guild Companion, said: "We're really excited by the opportunities made possible by this license. Rolemaster and Spacemaster are truly excellent RPGs, which we're proud to have supported over the past four years through our ezine. This new license allows us to take that support to the next level by providing the source material in terms of new worlds and settings that Rolemaster and Spacemaster fans have been asking to have for years. By making our products fully compatible with the d20 System as well, we'll have the widest possible audience and give d20 players and GMs a whole new perspective on gaming."

website: www.ironcrown.comNovember 19, 2001 John R. Seal, a long time ICE fan, acquired the majority of the Iron Crown Enterprise, Inc. assets. These assets were purchased at an auction run by a Federal bankruptcy court in Charlottesville, Virginia. John R. Seal will place these assets into Aurigas Aldebaron LLC ("Aurigas"). Aurigas will then enter into a Master License with Phoenix LLC, which will be charged with the full promotion and use of the assets.
Phoenix LLC ("Phoenix") is largely owned and operated by certain ex-ICE employees, Bruce Neidlinger, Heike Kubasch, and Stephen Hardy. Phoenix (dba Iron Crown Enterprises) will start immediate operations using the large amount of inventory and intellectual property acquired at the auction.
Members of both Phoenix and Aurigas are very excited to have ICE back in operation! We were thrilled to hear from many fans after the bankruptcy, and we are grateful not only for your current enthusiasm, but for the unwavering support ICE has experienced over the years!
Extensive modifications to the ICE website (our website remains the same at www.ironcrown.com) are underway in order to support and strengthen the Rolemaster and ICE community. We will be adding forums and other new features to ironcrown.com to provide fans with additional gaming tools, complete and up-to-date information on ICE and ICE products, and improved communication with and amongst fans. A new emphasis will be placed on listening to what the fans, our customers, want, and we encourage you to use ironcrown.com to keep us informed!Phoenix is working to restore the customer service and sales infrastructure, and process the large number of built-up direct mail orders. We were prevented from fulfilling them due to circumstances caused by the bankruptcy. Our top priority is to fulfill the orders as fast as possible now.
Phoenix´s new offices are being set-up and contact information will be posted on the website and announced on the various industry lists and forums.
Phoenix will be contacting the old ICE authors about future use of their products. All authors should read the author update that will be accessible from the ICE home page for details about how the products sold in the auction will be treated and how we will operate in the future. No Middle-earth assets were included in the sale and neither Phoenix nor Aurigas has anything to do with any Middle-earth rights.
We plan to start releasing new products for Rolemaster and Spacemaster in the middle of next year. We have several new projects and gaming worlds in the works and we will be letting everyone know about these soon via ironcrown.com. We hope to finish the planned Spacemaster product line after we finish acquiring the necessary rights.
Phoenix will be aggressively pursuing a licensing strategy for use of the purchased intellectual property for paper products and electronic products. All companies that wish to pursue such a license should contact Bruce Neidlinger at bruce@ironcrown.com.
We will hire a distributor and retailer sales person as soon as possible. Until then all contacts or inquiries should be sent to Bruce Neidlinger at bruce@ironcrown.com.
